Indian Oil is looking for passionate and dedicated Graduate Engineers (Indian nationals only) for recruitment as Officers/ Engineers and Assistant Officers /Assistant Engineers. Only GATE qualified student can apply
Indian Oil will use GATE-2018 score for short listing of the candidates, whosoever has applied to Indian Oil. Further selection process will consist of GD/GT and personal interview respectively. However IndianOil will get the GATE-2018 scores directly from GATE authorities and GATE authorities gives us score only for GATE qualified candidates i.e. canditates who has cleared the minumum marks required to clear the exam.
Hence, candidates, who do not qualify through GATE (as per standard decided by GATE authorities) shall not be shortlisted for GD & GT and PI. GATE score from 2013 or any other previous examination is not valid.

How to apply for Indian Oil Engineer recruitment 2018
Students have two choices either apply online or through the advertisement published in the newspaper and keep in mind you can apply for any of positions or both.
1.Candidates need to register ONLINE for GATE-2017 and download the GATE-2017 admit card and receipt of GATE containing registration number.If you clear the GATE than go to next step.
2.After clearing the GATE first download your score card and to apply online respective link will be made available on the IndianOil’s website www.iocl.com.
3.Opening the website provided candidates should click on the ONLINE application link, need to go through the instructions carefully and fill-in the ONLINE application form giving accurate information including the GATE-2019 registration number.
4.Fill each neccesary information with full of consciousness and then submit the application form by clicking SUBMIT and system will provide you a Unique Application Id.
5.Candidate should take a print out of completed application, fix his/her recent passport size photograph with his/ her signature at the space provided.Do keep this form safe because this will be valid in all your GD and personal interviews.
NOTE:*Once on-line application is registered it cannot be changed or modified.
*2nd March, 2019 is the last date for applying ONLINE application to IndianOil.
B. Eligibility criteria for the post of Indian Oil Engineers
1.Candidates should have qualified degree examinations and have bachelor’s degree in engineering in the above mentioned streams from recognized Indian Universities / Institutes.
2.Candidates who belongs to General and OBC categories, should have secured minimum 65% marks in qualifying degree examinations.
3.Qualifying marks for Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST) and People with Disability (PWD) have 55%.
4.Candidates presently in final year of their engineering studies can also apply but they must be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August, 2018.
5.Candidates pursuing/ completed M.Tech or Integrated ME/ M.Tech candidates will be eligible regarded you must have done bachelor in above required streams.
C. Relaxations
1.Reservation of posts for SC/ST/OBC/ PWD will be given as per Government of India directives.
2.Age relaxation by 5 years for candidates domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir between 1.1.1980 and 31.12.1989
3.Age relaxation by 5 years for Ex-servicemen & Commissioned Officers (including ECOs / SSCOs) subject to rendering minimum 5 years’ military service and fulfillment of other conditions prescribed by Government of India.
D. Age Limit
Candidate with 26 years as on 30th June, 2017 for the general category candidates will not be allowed. Age relaxation for OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/SC/ST/PWD candidates will be applicable as per the Presidential Directive.
E. Physical Fit
Candidates thinking to work with IndianOil needs to be medically fit as per IndianOil’s pre-employment medical standard. Candidates are advised to go through the ‘Guidelines and Criteria for Physical Fitness for Pre-employment medical Examination’ .
